The Slave Route is a historical four-kilometer path in Ouidah that enslaved people were forced to walk to the ships bound for the Americas. It is now a memorial marked with monuments and statues, ending at the "Door of No Return," a poignant tribute to the victims of the transatlantic slave trade.
